CPI by goods and services
The consumer price index taken down from the four broad categories to 106 concrete goods and services — bread, petrol, rent, electricity — in three reporting bases.
baza changes the meaning of the figure, not just its size:
luna_anterioara is the month's change; decembrie is the cumulation from the start of the year; an_anterior is the annual rate. The same month has three different values, all of them correct.
⚠️ Only luna_anterioara can be chained. The product of the monthly factors gives the change over a period only there; the other two are already cumulated against a fixed reference point, and multiplying them would give a meaningless number. The response carries se_inlantuie and, on each series, variatie_perioada.compus — on the bases that do not compose it returns false with the reason, rather than a wrong figure. For the same reason, /calcul/indexare?indice=ipc works exclusively on the monthly base.
⚠️ The coverages differ by ten years. The four broad categories run from 1991-01; the concrete goods and services only from 2001-01. A detail request before 2001 gets interval_gol with the explanation, not an empty list.
⚠️ The source mixes three levels in the same dimension: four aggregates, 35 groups and 67 subcategories marked with the - prefix. nivel picks between them. The group → subcategory link does not exist in the source — there are no codes, and the table order is not preserved — so the route says what each category is, but not which one it sits under. We do not invent the hierarchy.
✅ Verified that the aggregated matrix and the detailed one are the same indicator: on the four common categories, the values coincide on 1,224 out of 1,224 months on the monthly base and 1,224 out of 1,224 on the cumulated one, with zero deviation. And the annual rate is exactly the chain of the last twelve months, verified on every month with a complete window, with deviations below the source's rounding.

How it behaves
- The consumer price index taken down from the four broad categories to 106 concrete goods and services, in three reference bases. 97,160 values from TEMPO matrices
IPC102A–IPC102E. bazachanges what the figure means, not just its size. For bread, June 2025 has three values, all correct: 100.50 against the previous month, 104.28 against December 2024, 105.84 against June 2024. The first is the monthly change, the second the year-to-date cumulation, the third the annual rate.- ⚠️ Only
luna_anterioaracan be chained.
