Investment funds

Funds other than money market funds — one balance sheet and three breakdowns of lines within it: the equity held, the debt securities and the fund shares issued. Monthly since December 2008, 211 months, in thousand lei.

The breakdowns tie exactly to the balance sheet, and the check is computed on every request. Equity and securities coincide with their asset lines across all 211 months, with zero deviation. The fund shares issued coincide in 209 of 211: in September and October 2014 they differ by exactly the same amount, −43,971.2 thousand lei, two months running, after which it corrects itself — a revision applied to one class and not the other, not a rounding.

ASSETS = LIABILITIES closes across all 211 months, with zero deviation. Assets from their six components likewise; liabilities close in 180 of 181 months, with 0.3 in January 2020.

The partitions are declared, not inferred from the tree. The names do not tie the first level to the total, and equity is split both by residency and by instrument type — two alternative cuts of the same total. Its breakdown by institutional sector is not a partition: measured, it does not close in any month, so it is an „of which" and is not checked.

The hierarchy is taken from the name, not from the code. The code prefix places FIATL_R1A2 („maturity between 1 and 2 years") under FIATL_R1A („under 1 year"), although it is its sibling — the same pattern as with loans by maturity.

How it behaves

  • Investment funds other than money market funds — 79 series across four sections, monthly since December 2008, 211 months, in thousands of lei. A balance sheet plus three breakdowns of lines within it: equity held, debt securities held, and fund shares issued.
  • The breakdowns tie exactly to the balance sheet, and the control is computed on every request. Equity and debt securities match their asset-side lines across all 211 months, with zero deviation. Hence one route with a parameter, not four that could silently drift apart.
  • Fund shares issued match in 209 of 211, and the two months say something precise: in September and October 2014 they differ by exactly the same amount, −43,971.2 thousand lei, two months running, after which it corrects. That is a revision applied to one class and not the other, not rounding.
  • ACTIV = PASIV closes across all 211 months, with zero deviation. So does the asset side against its six components; the liability side closes in 180 of 181 months, off by 0.3 in January 2020.
  • The partitions are declared, not inferred from the tree. The names do not link the first level to the total — "Rezidenţi" is not prefixed by "Total" — and equity splits both by residency and by instrument type: two alternative cuts of the same total, which added together would double it.
  • What looks like hierarchy but is not a partition is deliberately absent. The sector breakdown of equity closes in no month at all — those are "of which" items, not components. A generic check over children would have reported an error on correct data.
  • The hierarchy comes from the name, not the code — the third time in this module. The code prefix places FIATL_R1A2 ("maturity between 1 and 2 years") under FIATL_R1A ("under 1 year"), though it is its sibling; the same pattern as loans by maturity.
  • Precision is one decimal, verified across all 12,510 values in the four classes; the tolerance of the sums is derived from it.

  • The total assets of investment funds, month by month.
  • Who holds the fund shares: households, corporations, non-residents.
  • Debt securities in portfolios, by currency and maturity.

data.identitati.neverificate The declared identities the requested window could not check, each with its reason: serie_inexistenta (the source never publishes that component), nepublicata_in_fereastra (it exists, but not in this interval) or fara_perioada_completa (the components exist but never in the same period). The verified count changes with the window, and this says why.
meta.fara_date data is null and this says why. No values in the database for the requested section. The interval falls outside the coverage (December 2008 → present).
meta.fara_date_cod The short, STABLE word for the reason, for clients that branch on it in code: fara_date is prose and may be rephrased, this is not.
