Financiar v1 / Inflatie

Quarterly institutional sector accounts

Who produces, who receives and who spends in the economy: the same ESA 2010 transactions broken down across the four domestic sectors — non-financial corporations, financial corporations, general government and households — plus the rest of the world, quarter by quarter since 1999.

The hierarchy lives in adancime. The source marks the level through the dashes before the name: zero is the top level, and each dash goes one deeper. Codes at different depths are not additive — that would count the same flows twice. Without cod and without adancime, the response stops at depth zero.

The rest of the world does not enter the total economy: it is the external counterpart, not a component. That is why the identity checked on every request is economia_totala = the sum of the four domestic sectors.

How it behaves

  • The quarterly non-financial accounts of the institutional sectors as published by the Romanian statistics institute under ESA 2010 — from 1999-Q1 to 2026-Q1, 109 quarters, 49,486 values from TEMPO matrix CON112A. Eighty-one transactions × six sectors × two sides of the account, in millions of lei at current prices — except the two employment rows, EMP_PS_DC (thousand persons) and EMP_HW_DC (thousand hours worked), which the source wrongly labels „Milioane lei” as well.
  • It is the only place in the module where the economy is broken down by who makes it. /financiar/v1/pib gives the quarterly national pace, /financiar/v1/pib/judete the annual map; this route gives the institutional structure — non-financial corporations, financial corporations, general government, households, plus the rest of the world.
  • ⚠️ The hierarchy lives in adancime. The source marks the level with dashes in front of the label, and the projection turns them into a number: 38 transactions at depth 0, 24 at 1, 14 at 2 and 5 at 3. Codes at different depths do not add together — the ones below are the breakdown of the one above, not additions to it. Without cod and without adancime, the response stops at depth zero on its own.
  • ⚠️ The rest of the world is not part of the total economy, it is its external counterpart. That is why the identity checked is economia_totala = the sum of the four internal sectors. Measured across the whole projection: it closes in 5,665 of 5,995 cells, with a tolerance of one million lei derived from the published decimal.
  • ⚠️ All 330 failures fall on three transactions, each for a different reason — and the route names them in identitati.motive whenever one of them enters the response. B4G (gross entrepreneurial income): the total-economy row is published as a constant zero across all 109 quarters, even though the sectors carry values. D2 (taxes on production and imports): the total includes taxes on products, which the source does not allocate to the paying sector. D3 (subsidies): likewise, subsidies on products stay unallocated. Nowhere else does the identity miss.
  • What the external mirror looks like: B9, net lending (+) or net borrowing (−), holds for the total economy exactly the opposite of the rest-of-the-world value, in all 109 quarters (maximum gap 0.3 million, which is the rounding). For the full year 2024: general government −164,459.9, households −99,406.4, non-financial corporations +153,343.6 — the economy borrows a net 118,532 million from abroad.
  • What the structure shows for 2024: out of 1,717,651.4 million lei of gross disposable income (B6G), households take 1,044,034.1 — 60.8%, non-financial corporations 356,186.3, general government 261,028.3 and financial corporations 56,402.6. Compensation of employees (D1) totals 735,452.6 million, of which non-financial corporations pay 493,689.6.
  • Quarterly GDP (B1GQ) in 2024: 347,855.9 in Q1, 417,702.2 in Q2, 471,315.4 in Q3 and 522,309.8 in Q4.
  • The ceiling is on cells, not on series. The projection holds 454 distinct series and 109 quarters, and a single request may return at most 20,000 cells (series × quarters). Beyond that the route answers raspuns_prea_mare and states exactly how large the response would have been.

What it is for

  • The public deficit and the external balance, quarter by quarter, from one source.
  • How much of the country's disposable income reaches households, and how the share moves over time.
  • The structure of compensation of employees by the sector that pays it.
  • A sector's saving and investment, followed along the long series since 1999.

Response structure

FieldTypeDescription
data.unitate string The unit of the values. Read it before plotting or adding them up.
data.de_la string Start of the interval the response covers.
data.pana_la string End of the interval the response covers, inclusive.
data.filtre.adancime integer
data.filtre.sector array Institutional or economic sector.
data.trimestre array Quarters for which values exist.
data.serii[].cod string Code from the source code list — the key you filter on.
data.serii[].adancime integer The level in the tree, 0-3. Codes at different depths do not add together.
data.serii[].denumire string The name, exactly as the source publishes it.
data.serii[].sector string Institutional or economic sector.
data.serii[].denumire_sector string Name of the sector, as published by the source.
data.serii[].latura string resurse (who receives the flow) or utilizari (who pays it).
data.serii[].unitate string milioane lei on every transaction, with two exceptions: EMP_PS_DC is in mii persoane (thousand persons) and EMP_HW_DC in mii ore lucrate (thousand hours worked) — the source wrongly declares them „Milioane lei”. When the response mixes units, the top-level unitate points to the series.
data.serii[].trimestre_publicate integer How many quarters of the requested span carry a value at the source.
data.serii[].valori object The values of the series, by period.
data.identitati.identitate string The identity being checked — which sum must equal which total.
data.identitati.nota string A note on how to read the data — a pitfall, a convention or a limit of the source.
data.identitati.toleranta string One million lei, derived from the decimal the source publishes.
meta.sursa string The official source the data comes from, with its licence where one is required.
meta.acoperire.de_la string The first period we have data for.
meta.acoperire.pana_la string The last period we have data for.
meta.serii_returnate integer How many series were actually returned, after filters and the cell ceiling.
meta.nota_adancime string A note on how to read the response: a caveat, a convention or a limit of the source.
meta.nota_restul_lumii string A note on how to read the response: a caveat, a convention or a limit of the source.
meta.nota_defalcare string A note on how to read the response: a caveat, a convention or a limit of the source.
meta.nota_unitate string What to know about the unit of measure before comparing or summing values.
meta.nota_anual string A note on how to read the response: a caveat, a convention or a limit of the source.
data.identitati.motive Why the identity fails, for each code that misses — present only when one of them is in the response.
meta.fara_date string data is null and this says why. The projection over the INS data is empty. The transaction is not published; the full list is at /conturi-sectoare/tranzactii. The requested span lies entirely before 1999-Q1 or after the last published quarter. It overlaps the coverage but holds no value.
meta.fara_date_cod string The short, STABLE word for the reason, for clients that branch on it in code: fara_date is prose and may be rephrased, this is not.

Error codes

CodeSlugWhen it occurs
401neautentificatMissing or invalid token.
403feature_indisponibilfinanciar.indici is not in the current plan.
422raspuns_prea_mareThe request would return more than 20,000 cells; the response states how many series and how many quarters that was. Plus a code, depth, sector, side or quarter outside the expected form.
429cota_depasitaThe plan's monthly quota has been exceeded (see Retry-After).

All errors share the same shape. eroare.cod is stable and is the value you should branch on in code — not the text in mesaj, which may change.
