One credit institution

The details of a credit institution by the bank code inside the IBAN — the four letters after the check digits, the same cod_banca returned by /validare/iban. If you have a BIC, the first four characters are the code.

How it behaves

Details of a credit institution by the IBAN bank code — the four letters after the check digits.
It is the same code /validare/iban returns in cod_banca, so the two routes chain directly: validate an IBAN, get the code, request the details. If you hold a BIC, its first four characters are the code.
The 404 has two causes, told apart by the code in the body: negasit = the code does not appear in the register; nu_e_institutie_de_credit = the code belongs to an entity that has a BIC but is not a bank, and the response says which, as a debugging aid. The second case almost certainly means a mistyped IBAN.

data.denumire string The name as published in the NBR register of credit institutions.

data.bic string The BIC/SWIFT code, 11 characters.

data.cui string The bank's tax ID. null where the register does not publish it.

data.lei string The LEI code, from GLEIF. null where the bank has none.

data.stare string activa or radiata, per the NBR register.

meta.sursa string The official source the data comes from, with its licence where one is required.

Error codes

403	feature_indisponibil	The current plan does not include the feature the route depends on.
404	negasit	`negasit` or `nu_e_institutie_de_credit`.
422	validare	The code is not exactly four letters.
429	cota_depasita	The plan's monthly quota has been exceeded (see `Retry-After`).

All errors share the same shape. eroare.cod is stable and is the value you should branch on in code — not the text in mesaj, which may change.
