CAEN nomenclature

The NACE (CAEN) codes, filterable: ?q= (code or name), ?versiune=0|1|2|3 (3 = Rev. 3 by default; 0 and 1 are historical reference editions), ?nivel=sectiune|diviziune|grupa|clasa, ?sectiune=A. Paginated.

How it behaves

  • The CAEN nomenclature, filterable by q (code or name), versiune, nivel (section/division/group/class) and sectiune. Defaults to version 3 (Rev.3, the current one).
  • All editions are available as reference: versiune=0|1|2|3 (the initial edition + Rev.1–3). The list of versions, with the number of codes per level, is at /caen/versiuni; the hierarchical tree at /caen/arbore; the Rev.2↔Rev.3 equivalences at /caen/{cod}/echivalent.

What it is for

  • Populating a CAEN code picker.
  • Translating a code into a name and hierarchy.
  • Migrating codes between revisions.

Error codes

All errors share the same shape. eroare.cod is stable and is the value you should branch on in code — not the text in mesaj, which may change.
