CAEN versions

The nomenclature versions available for reference: Rev. 0/1/2/3 (historical plus current), with the label, the default version and the number of codes at each level. Rev. 3 is the current, default one.

Query parameters

This route accepts no query parameters.

How it behaves

  • The four CAEN nomenclature editions available as reference (the 1998 initial edition + Rev.1/2/3), each with its label, year in force, whether it is the default and the number of codes per level (sections, divisions, groups, classes). Rev.3 is the current one.

What it is for

  • Choosing the CAEN revision you use in an interface or an import.
  • Checking which edition was in force on the date of an older document.
  • Populating a version selector before requesting the tree.

Response structure

All fields below live inside data[].

niveluri.clase integer How many classes the revision has.

Error codes

All errors share the same shape. eroare.cod is stable and is the value you should branch on in code — not the text in mesaj, which may change.
