Region list

The 8 development regions (NUTS-2), the entry point of the hierarchical cascade (region → counties → units → localities). Each region carries its number of counties.

Query parameters

This route accepts no query parameters.

How it behaves

The entry point of the administrative cascade. The set is stable — cache it for a long time.
cod is the NUTS-2 code (RO11…), the key for /regiuni/{cod}/judete.

What it is for

The first level of a cascading address selector
Grouping coverage areas by macro-region for dashboards and reporting
Commercial segmentation by development region (NUTS-2)

data[].populatie integer | null Population (census).

data[].suprafata_kmp number | null Area, in km².

data[].nr_judete integer How many counties the region has.

Error codes

Code	Slug	When it occurs
401	neautentificat	Token missing, invalid, expired or revoked.
403	feature_indisponibil	The current plan does not include the feature the route depends on.
422	validare	The route takes no parameters apart from `lang`: any other parameter returns 422 instead of being ignored.
429	cota_depasita	The plan's monthly quota has been exceeded (see `Retry-After`).

All errors share the same shape. eroare.cod is stable and is the value you should branch on in code — not the text in mesaj, which may change.
