Annual fuel consumption in thousands of tonnes, by country and product. The latest published year comes in the response, because the source lags a year or two.

How it behaves

The unit is thousand tonnes for every product, including those whose price is published per 1000 litres. Do not divide by density to compare with the price — they are two deliberately different units.
The data is annual and published with a lag: ultimul_an_publicat says how far the series goes.
Without an you get every available year, most recent first.

What it is for

Size a market: how much diesel a country consumes annually, as the basis for a business plan.
Track the shift away from diesel by comparing the annual series.
Report the share of a product in a country total consumption.

Error codes

All errors share the same shape. eroare.cod is stable and is the value you should branch on in code — not the text in mesaj, which may change.
